I’m so happy to be able to share this precious moment with you all. Sloane had mentioned early on in the surrogacy process that if it all worked out, she wanted to do a gender reveal. She had attended a few gender reveal parties for our friends, and she thought it was so much fun. She imagined this moment for our family too.
We decided to wait until the end of the first trimester to tell Sloane about the pregnancy, and we knew that finding out the gender together with a reveal would mean so much to her. Even though the results from our genetic testing on the embryo were readily available to us, knowing that we could share this special moment with Sloane, our family and our surrogate helped us wait it out.
After the new year had begun and we were a few weeks into the second trimester, we thought it was finally time to reveal our future baby’s gender. This was also the perfect moment to introduce Sloane to our surrogate and meet each other’s families. We decided to keep it a very low key and intimate, family celebration. We were all so excited and ready to know! We enlisted Lauren Jones from LoLo Creates to create the balloon backdrop and the extra special reveal balloon. Lauren received the email with the gender directly from our fertility clinic and she was able to fill the balloon with the correct color confetti – without anybody else knowing what we were having before we popped that balloon! We had Sloane do the honors of course. Baby Sauer is a……….

A girl!!!!
We couldn’t be more thrilled to be expecting a sweet baby sister for Sloane.
