This Easter is our first one in our new house. Although we aren’t quite ready to host any parties, I love having a special meal with my family and decorating my table. Making holidays feel special and festive is something that brings me joy. It’s like creating art, having fun, celebrating and showing my love for my family all in one.
Easter is one of my favorite holidays. It is a time to welcome Spring, see flowers blooming, and hear the birds chirping; which is the perfect inspiration for a cheerful tablescape. Our bunny plates and stuffed bunny collection, keep our formal dining area playful and fun. While Sloane is little, I really want to enjoy Easter and other celebrations through her eyes. This year I’m loving this soft pink and blue theme that ties in so well with the colors of our home.

A couple of my tablescape tips:
- Using fresh Tulips! They are inexpensive, easy to find, last for a while and are so easy to arrange. I cut the stems on the ends and used 2 dozen in each vase.
- Elevate items such as these grass covered bunnies by adding ribbon. I purchased these from Hobby Lobby and made them look like something I saw on a designer website that sells something similar.
- Purchase basic and versatile items that you can use again and again such as this bamboo cutlery and cane covered glasses. These look good with so many different themes and can be used in casual or more formal settings.
- Splurge on nice linens in colors you will use again. Blue is such a versatile and useable color. It can be used for several different occasions and isn’t something that I will get tired of. It coordinates with lots of different colors and themes, so I splurged on this table cloth and these napkins knowing that they would get lots of use! Also, don’t be afraid of prints and mixing colors.
- Always have gold candlestick holders and a variety of taper candles on hand. I just happened to have both blue and pink candles in back stock, and it’s so nice to be able to go into your buffet and pull out candles that match your table.
Happy Easter!
*My bunny plates are from the Southern Living Dillards Collection and showing sold out online, but I did see some in the store.

All of it is just so gorgeous Kira! What a lovely tablescape for your first Easter in your new home. Happy Easter to one of our favorite families!
