I live in a Dallas, Texas suburb with my husband Chris and my daughter Sloane (and a baby on the way!) For most of my life, I have been passionate about design and aware of how it can create a sense of peace and joy in our home. After years of running an interior design business, I started this blog to share my design expertise while my husband and I built a custom home for our family. It has grown into a resource for inspired interiors and living.
Influenced by the traditional style of New England and Southern architecture and my extensive travel abroad, I enjoy creating spaces that are inviting, yet refined and timeless. I believe that design should be a thoughtful and authentic process. Your home should tell your story in a way that brings you comfort and happiness, serving as the backdrop to your life. In many cases, our style continues to evolve and a well-decorated home is curated over time. My desire is that Kira Sauer Home is much more than pretty pictures and aspirational design, but a way to connect with, guide and inspire you to achieve an elevated, yet livable home and a life you love.
