Do you ever feel like the seasons were so perfectly designed? In the midst of Summer, I never want it to end. I enjoy the travel, freedom and long sunny days. But, just as I start to yearn for more structure, home cooked meals and cooler weather, Fall is ready to be ushered in! It seems to be timed just right. With the changing colors of the leaves, even nature signals us that it’s time for something new. Fall is full of fresh starts, anticipation of the holiday season ahead, pumpkin spice and cozy vibes. I am here for it all!
Recently, I heard that you are either a Fall girl or a Halloween girl…I guess that can be true to some degree, but I think you can be both! Typically, I decorate for Fall after Labor day (even though it’s still 90 degrees in Texas) and I add my Halloween items in October. I host a little Halloween gathering every year, so I love to have fun with my Halloween party decor and entertaining items. I’ll share more of my Halloween party stuff later! After Halloween is over, I put it away and let Fall linger into November. For this reason, I like having distinctively “Fall decor” because I will have it up before and after the month of October.
Here are the top 8 ways I prepare and enjoy my home in Fall and all the links:
1. Fall Candles
My favorite Fall candles smell great and double as decor. I love how a good candle instantly says “Fall is Here”.

2. Decor Items
I don’t think you have to go overboard, just a few pumpkins and other touches such as these ADORABLE POTTERY GHOSTS!

3. Pillows and Cozy Blankets
I love that seasonal pillow covers can give a room a completely different look. For my family room Fall decor this year, I decided to incorporate some copper/burgundy and mauvy pink, and I love how it contrasts the existing blue palette in the space. It feels warm, inviting and unique. These are my pillows and blanket:

4. Fall Leaves and Foliage
I’m pretty picky when it comes to foliage in my home. If something looks fake, I won’t like it, so I invest in realistic foliage I can use year after year. The hydrangeas on my coffee table look like actual dried hydrangeas. We put them next to real ones to test them!

5. A Fall Tablescape
I like to purchase table items that can be used in any season, really. I’ve used this tablecloth for both Fall and Christmas. I think the other decorative items you add to your table can take it in a specific direction, but starting with good, versatile staple items is the way to go! Also, don’t be afraid to mix patterns and colors you wouldn’t expect to. I think it adds interest, uniqueness and conversation starters when you step out of your comfort zone with your tablescape!

6. A Fall Inspired Porch
I like items that can be used throughout several seasons such as my doormats and woven baskets. Just adding pumpkins, fall floral and wreaths instantly makes this a welcoming Fall porch without purchasing a whole bunch of “Fall” stuff.

7. Fall Cooking and Baking
Here’s my favorite SIMPLE INGREDIENT BAKING MIX. Easy to add pureed pumpkin to and can be used for pancakes, muffins, cookies or cake!
8. A Fall Art Print on Your TV

I purchased THESE on Etsy for my FRAME TV. I love being able to change the “art” in the room with the season.
If there are any more sources you want from my recent REEL, let me know! Happy Fall!
